Maple Pecan Baked Brie
This delicious warm and flavourful appetizer will be well received on a chilly winter evening get together! Serve it with Touch of Sea Salt dipitas to balance out the sweetness of this delicious treat.
Ingredients
1 8 ounce round brie cheese
3 Tbsp honey or maple syrup
1 Tbsp of butter
1 pinch of salt
¼ tsp cinnamon
½ cup chopped walnuts/pecans
2 Tbsp rosemary
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350F. Remove the Brie wheel from packaging, but leave the rind on.
- Place Brie into a small cast iron skillet or a small baking dish.
- Bake Brie for about 15 minutes or until softened.
- While Brie is baking, melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat and add nuts, toasting them until slightly brown and give a nutty aroma.
- Add the honey/maple syrup, salt and cinnamon to the nuts and stir to coat
- Remove Brie from the oven, transfer into a serving dish and remove the rind using a sharp knife
- Pour the nut mixture over the Brie and sprinkle with rosemary
- Serve with apple slices and your favourite dipitas
